THE DO'S
- GIVE YOUR RATS ATTENTION!!!!! That is really important. You should play with your rats every day to keep them properly socialized. Once properly socialized you will find yourself becoming more attached to your rat and being a proper owner so much easier.
- If you only have one rat you need to pay extra attention to them as they get lonely. You may want to get another rat to keep them company.
- You need to give your rats fresh water every day. You should refill their food bowls every other day.
- In the summer keep them hydrated.
- You should go to the pet store and get a block of food. Rats are sometimes picky and may become mal-nourished. With the food block the rats get what they bite off.
- Do some research! Before getting a rat do more than look at one website. Look at more than one. Talk to other rat owners about how to handle them. If you have a question just put it on Rat Stories and I'll try to answer.The more you know the better an owner you'll be!
