If your rat doesn't mind being on your shoulder you should take them with you on halloween! I did that one year with my rat Berrta. One guy slammed the door in my face when he saw her. It was fun to see the looks on peoples faces when I showed them Berrta! Don't expect much candy though. Also If its cold Dont stay out too long, or have one of those carry bags and put lots of towels or something in.
